Messianic Judaism Beliefs Differ from the Christian Church

MessianicSealBlueGold1

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ (Col. 2:8, NIV).

.

2 Pet. 2:9: then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment (NKJV).

.

An estimated 10,000 to 15,000 Ukrainian Jews worshiped Jesus as Messiah. This makes Ukraine, a nation of 45 million, the region’s fulcrum of the Messianic Jewish movement, As Jews emigrate en masse from Ukraine, its Messianic believers are planting churches around the world. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2014/08/01/invaded/

.

“We … rejoice that many Jewish people are coming to faith in Messiah in places that witnessed some of the worst atrocities of the Holocaust period,” stated the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE). The group met in Kiev for its 10th European conference last April. More than 80 participants from 19 nations gathered largely “to affirm and encourage these Jewish followers of Jesus,” and to recognize “the enormous number of Jewish followers of Jesus who perished in the Holocaust.”   No mention of the Christians though..

Many Messianic Jews are implying since the Savior was Jewish they themselves are special people in God’s sight. In contrast consider what John the Baptist said to Jewish people in his day who thought they were special because of their nationality:

.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham” (Mt. 3:7-9).

.
And what does Jesus’ Jewish identity have to do with anything? This is never magnified in the New Testament. Jesus is the Savior of all who will repent and submissively trust in him. Rev. 7 states there will be people in God’s kingdom from every tribe, people, language and nation all redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. Of what nationality Messiah was as He walked the earth is totally irrelevant.

.

Messianic Judaism is  still also a big Satanic lie and it’s followers tend to lie about  Christians, the Christian   Church,  Christianity , Zionism  for they are not real Christians but are all non Christians generally going to hell still, as they  have rejected the real Jesus..  Sad.

.

Because all those of us in the Christian Church do follow the practices of the early Christians in the Book of Acts, the faith once for all delivered to the saints” we rightfully do now differ in many ways including history, beliefs, dress, and practice from the Jews or the Messianic Judaism Beliefs . We Christians as a faithful remnant of the faith once for all delivered to the saints” that is still  not a part of the false Messianic Jewish movement
 .
1 Corinthians 1: 2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
 .
Philippians 11 Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons:
 .
Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.
 .
Would you be willing to“ contend earnestly for the faith once for all delivered t the saints” or would you prefer the counterfeits?  the false Messianic Judaism ?
 .
The Brief History of Messianic Judaism –
 .
While the Messianic Jews falsely do  claim historical ties to the original apostles, the Messianic Jews essentially also do teach that their movement went away and returned again in the 19th century. In the late 1800s, many Jews are claimed to have looked at the “Christian Bible,” or New Testament Scriptures, for themselves with a desire to return to the land of Israel and establish a permanent Jewish homeland there and found Jesus and Zionism. Though Messianic Judaism falsely claims to date back to Jewish Yeshua’s twelve apostles, this is not true, and its “resurrection” is a relatively new phenomenon.  This all differs greatly from the position of the Church which believes that the true Church of God always existed from Acts 2 to the present
 .
Matthew 16: 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
.
In spite of the many opposition put upon Jewish Believers since the death of Jesus to give up their faith, it seems that Messianic Judaism continued into the seventh century AD. First, non-Messianic rabbis pressured Messianic Jews to relinquish their faith in Jewish Yeshua not the Christian Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Christianity pressured Messianic Jews to abandon their Jewishness rightfully . … there have always been individual Jewish Believers in a Jewish  Yeshua. Beginning in the early 1800s increasing numbers of Jewish people began believing in a Jewish Yeshua.
 .
We a Christian Church as Christians do believe that true the  Church of God, Christianity continued throughout the ages and yes not any Jewish one too.
 .
Messianic Judaism Considers their Churches as being Christian but still only those Churches who strive to hold to the original practices and teachings of the original Christian Church in the book of Acts can be called Christian (cf. Jude 3) which they are not. Simply claiming Christian association is not enough (cf. 1 John 2:18-19).
 .
Now many, Messianic falsely place emphasis on living their lives according to the tradition they call the 613 laws, 613 commandments, or 613 mitzvot. But as many of these 613 are simply added Jewish traditions, they are not appropriate for Jews or Gentiles to advocate.
 .
7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’  8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men — the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.” 9 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban” — ‘ (that is, a gift to God), 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.” (Mark 7:7-13)
 .
Some Messianic Jews falsely do believe that all of the Jewish holidays, and indeed the entire Torah, intrinsically hint at the Messiah, and thus no study of the End Times is complete without understanding the major Jewish Festivals in their larger prophetic context. To certain believers, the feasts of Pesach and Shavuot were fulfilled in Jesus’s first coming, and Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot will be at his second. Some also believe in a literal 7000-year period for the human history of the world, with a Millennial Messianic kingdom prior to a final judgment.
 .
Messianic Holidays – Holy days observed include those recognized by Judaism: Passover, Sukkot, Yom Kippur, and Rosh Hashanah. …
 .
Sabbath – Like traditional Jews, Messianic Jews observe the Sabbath starting at sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday.
 .
Their elevation of non-biblical Jewish tradition to the status of a biblical law would violate the first commandment.
 .
The use of symbols such as the Star of David would violate the second commandment.
 .
Jesus also would consider that, despite outward appearances, that the Messianic Jews practice a form of lawlessness similar to that of the Pharisees of old.
 .
A Messianic Position on Gentiles and the ‘613 Laws’ of the Torah’ the list of 613 comes from Jewish tradition is all also false. Thus, since all of those 613 mitzvots are NOT actually in the Bible, but are added Jewish traditions, not all need to be followed. Because various ones, Messianic Jews misunderstand many other parts of the Bible and God’s purpose.
 .
1 And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2 Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.  3 So, being sent on their way by the Church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, describing the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren. 4 And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the Church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them. 5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”  6 Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter. (Acts 15:1-6).
 .
Circumcision was not the only issue. Then the following was sent out:
 .
24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law” — to whom we gave no such commandment — 25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 We a Christian Church have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. (Acts 15:24-29)
 .
So, what happened was the apostles and elders concluded that this meant that Christians no longer needed to keep the seventh-day Sabbath etc.:
 .
According to the binding, Holy Spirit-inspired decision issued by the Emissaries and Elders, apart from saving faith in Messiah Jewish Yeshua, only four essential practices are necessary for Christians: abstaining from food dirtied by idolatry, from sexual immorality, from eating blood and from the meat of animals that have been strangled (see Acts 15, especially verses 19-20, 28-29). In addition to these Four Essentials, obedience to the Moral Law (for example, not stealing, not murdering, not committing adultery and not bearing false witness) is required. The Creator has written these moral laws on everyone’s heart (see Romans 2:14-15). Apart from these Four Essential Practices and the Moral Law, everything else – including the Sabbath, holidays and dietary laws – is to be regarded as done away with, under the area of Christian freedom and liberty.
 .
Anyone Trying to earn a way to heaven in any way is immoral .
 .
3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.'” And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. 4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.” 5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” 6 It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience…9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience (Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, NIV).
 .
The New Testament clearly shows that the command to keep the seventh day Sabbath is in the New Testament was not enforced., mandated
 .
And the New Testament teaches that there is no distinction between Jews and Gentiles in Jesus.
 .
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26-28)
 .
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. (Matthew 3:7-10).
 .
20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:20)
 .
1 Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, 2 “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” (Matthew 15:1-2)
 .
Interestingly, the Pharisees were quite concerned about ‘the tradition of the elders’ even though there was no biblical requirement to wash hands before eating bread. Now the Pharisees, like the Messianic Jews, prided themselves on keeping the entire law. But none but Jesus did.
 .
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. (Matthew 23:27-28)
 .
In addition to overly relying on tradition, the New Testament teaches that the Pharisees broke and/or did not have a proper understanding of  every one of the Ten Commandments
 .
The Pharisees complained that the disciples ate with tax collectors and sinners, which was also a violation of their tradition (Luke 5:30); they complained that Jesus did that too (Luke 15:1-2).
 .
5 Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. 6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have taken no bread.”
8 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread? 9 Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? 10 Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up? 11 How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? — but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees. (Matthew 16:5-12)
 .
30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith; 31 but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone. 33 As it is written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 9:30-33)
 .
Works without proper faith is dead (cf. James 2:26).
 .
Messianic Judaism does holds onto its Talmudic doctrines, perpetrating falsely the “Judaizing” heresy that Paul had to fight and afflicting the Body with legalism. They say that Jews and Gentiles all have to keep the same rules “one law for all.”
 .
The New Testament teaches that:
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. (Colossians 3:9-11)
 .
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. (Romans 10:12)
.
Some taught falsely that there are two sets of rules: one for Gentiles and the other for Jews.
 .
Messianic Jews Normally Do Not Use the Biblical Name Church for the Christian Church but use the term synagogues. Messianic Jews tend to give their congregations Hebrew or other names than ‘Church ‘
 .
The predominant biblical name of the true Church in the New Testament is ‘Church of God’ (Acts 20:28; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 10:32; 11:16,22; 15:9; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Galatians 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 2:14; 2 Thessalonians 1:4; 1 Timothy 3:5,15). “Jesus Christ of Nazareth…for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:10,12). “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). This is God’s gift by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 2:15; Romans 5:10).God is merciful (Exodus 34:6; Luke 6:36) and wants all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), yet because of various difficulties, few will find salvation in this age (Matthew 7:14; Luke 13:23-24; Romans 11:6-7; 2 Corinthians 4:4). Upon repentance and baptism, God justifies repentant Christians from their past sins. Christians then begin an ongoing process of “being saved“ as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18) and having Christ live us (Galatians 2:20). Salvation for those Christians in this age will be complete at the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:50-54); “Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation” (Hebrews 9:28).
 .
We a Christian Church are not saved by our own works.
According to the Messianic Jews they falsely say that Jesus was a Torah observant, tallit wearing, synagogue attending, Sabbath and feast-keeping, kosher Jew who observed the 7 holy days too.. and yet this was never substantiated in the New Testament and why?
.
With even the original Christians there is no evidence that they attempted to look and dress like Jewish rabbis as many male Messianic Jews do.
.
The New Testament demonstrates the apostles did not appear to look like Jewish rabbis or Levitical priests. When, for one example, the Apostle Paul was arrested, the authorities did not recognize him as a Jew, but thought he was an Egyptian (Acts 21:37-38). Paul had to tell the military commander he was a Jew (Acts 27:39). Thus, Paul did not look like a Jewish rabbi, nor was he apparently wearing distinguishing phylacteries or tzitzits as the Messianic Jews do.
Many Messianic Jewish men wear yarmulkes/yamikas
.
God told the Jews only not any Christians to celebrate the Biblical feasts FOREVER (Leviticus 23:21, 31, 41, Exodus 12:14), yet this too next was never substantiated in the New Testament and why?
.
Also where in new Testament Scripture does Jesus or the Apostles tell any Christians to observe the original, seventh day Sabbath (Gen 2:1-2) It does not and why not? They clearly did not observe it..
.
Messianic Jews do lie and state that all of the Jewish believers in Jesus  continued meeting at synagogue (or the Temple) for the Sabbath when clearly the Jews had kicked them out of them  so all of the Christians met next on Sundays instead..
 .
The Old Testament law was never intended by God to be the universal law for all people for all of time but only for the Jews and only till Jesus came..
.
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Hebrews 7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
.
Christians rightfully insist that “the law” was abolished. You won’t find anything in new testament Scripture to show that Torah was not abolished. None of the Old Testament law is binding on Christians today. When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4;Galatians 3:23–25; Ephesians 2:15). In place of the Old Testament law, Christians are under the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2), which is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). If we obey those two commands, we will be fulfilling all that Christ requires of us: “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:40).
.
Messianic Jews have falsely adopted certain non-biblical symbols that they sometimes display and sometimes wear. The ‘Star of David’ is one such symbol that many Messianic use
 .
In the 17th century, it became a popular practice to put Magen Davids on the outside of synagogues, to identify them as Jewish houses of worship in much the same way that a cross identified a Christian house of worship
.
The Star of David is basically a hexagram, which is similar to some of those used for paganism, including witchcraft, sorcery, and other occult practices:
.
The Star of David does not have biblical origins. The Bible warns against idols (Exodus 20:4-6; 1 John 5:21) and paganism (Jeremiah 10:2-11) as well as the various sins from Egypt (Deuteronomy 5:6-8; cf. Hosea 8:3; Revelation 11:8). But many of the Messianic Jews overlook this for their traditions (cf. Matthew 15:2-9).
 .
The Messianic Jews will display crosses as a symbol of their ‘Christianity’
 .
Messianic Jews do Have a Different Focus
 .

Do not be deceived by those that magnify Jewish feast days, ancestry, customs, the Saturday Sabbath and try to get you to observe the law of Moses. They might claim they are just like the early Christians but they are not
.
While it is certainly true that a real Christian can lose his salvation, one will never find in the New Testament that it can occur because of failure to observe the Jewish Saturday Sabbath,  any Jewish feast days, Jewish dietary law, etc
.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day (Col. 2:16).

.

Jesus Himself Cancelled The Mosaic Dietary Law

.

The dietary clean and unclean food laws that Moses wrote of were first discarded by the Lord himself:Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. Nothing outside a man can make him ‘unclean’ by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him ‘unclean.’” After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him ‘unclean’? For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods ‘clean.’) (Mark 7:14-19).

.

Also read 1 Corinthians 10 and Romans 14 to see that the early Christians were not under any Mosaic dietary law as some today want to place us back under.

 .
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them (Heb. 13:9).
.
Messianic false Views on  ISRAEL IN PROPHECY
 .
We as a Christian Church believe in God’s end-time plan for the nation of Israel and for the world has been revealed as all being judged under Jesus Christ
.
There is no New Testament substantiation by God, Jesus, Apostles for Israel’s  right to return to the promised land  in 1948 after God himself made Israel, Jerusalem  desolate and dispersed them world wide in  70 ad.
 .
We a Christian Church do not believe that the “rebirth of the State of Israel” is the “greatest miracle of our day,” and we believe that Romans 11 is discussing something completely different, to cite one example–and that ‘all Israel’ is absolutely not limited to the nation called Israel or the people called Jews.
 .
Too many fundamentals, professing Christians now falsely do claim that the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was prophesied in Scripture while there is no direct support of this in the New Testament Bible even still. Zionism “is a secularist, largely atheistic ideology” that emerged in the late 19th century. God still does not require the human input to fulfill his own prophecies.
 .
I do not deny that Israel was once, in the past chosen by God from all the peoples of the world to be the focus of special blessing in the history of redemption which climaxed in Jesus Christ, the Messiah. “The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth” (Deuteronomy 7:6). But Christians now alone are the chosen People
..
Nor do I deny that God promised to Israel the presently disputed land from the time of Abraham onward. God said to Moses, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring’” (Deuteronomy 34:4). But neither of these Biblical facts leads necessarily to the endorsement of present-day Israel as the rightful possessor of all the disputed land. Israel may have such a right but now she does not. As that decision is not based on divine privilege.
..
I also do not believe rightfully that Israel today is the fulfillment of Scriptural prophecy, because the Lord promised to restore Israel in righteousness (Hosea 10:12). Israel went into spiritual adultery, idolatry. God raised up Hosea to pronounce judgment on them. All we are seeing in the Middle East today is hatred, war killings and a deadlock concerning the location of the temple mount (whom Muslims now control). The Jews are at the Weeping Wall today; that’s as far as they’ve got. Jews today are still not looking for their Redeemer, the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Sadly, Judaism still denies Christ as do the Muslims and many others.
.
Israel today is based much on the stolen land from others.. When the Government of Israel committed human rights violations, the Old testament prophets openly condemned them, 2 Kings 6:21 –23, 2 Chronicles 28:9-11, Nehemiah 5:7-11, Jeremiah 34:11-17, Amos 2:6-7, etc.
.
 .
A central part of Messianic Judaism is the false belief in the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel, is taught in the Scriptures. The greatest miracle of our day has been the re-establishment or rebirth of the State of Israel according to prophecy (Ezek. 34:11-31; 36-39; Hos. 3; Amos 9:11-15; Zech. 12-14; Isa. 11; 43; 54; 60-62; 66; Rom. 11:1-34)
 .
The true Biblical scholar can note all of the major, essential Christian doctrines have been repeated by Jesus or the apostles in the New Testament. Zionism, the reestablishment of the nation of Israel, with Jerusalem as it’s capital is not one of them. When Christianity became a formal, legal religion in the fourth century, Churches throughout the world agreed on which books should form the New Testament, and they agreed on several basic statements of faith. One of the doctrinal lists created was the Apostles’ Creed, the Creed was an accurate summary of what the apostles taught. It too does not mention Zionism. Nor does the Nicene creed. Nor many others. So the present support of Zionism by many Christians is not a true, valid Christian teaching . PROVE ME WRONG FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT THEN.. Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”’(Mt. 4:4,7,10 )
.
Nor does God approve of the Jews as even having have any further rights to the promised land anymore as well.. And all of the blessing once reserved for the Jews have all now been replaced by blessings for Christians only.. too bad some persons they are are falsely stuck in the Old Testament.. as they do also even miss Heaven doing that too. Sadly even today they the Jews like Cain are trying to reestablish their own false, INAPPLICABLE, even the old Judaism, religion now…. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/even-heaven-awaits-jewish-return-to-god-jesus-christ-and-rather-not-to-the-promised-earthly-land/
 .
The reality still is that the parable of the vineyard Matt 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
.
This parable clearly shows that the Christian Church totally now rather succumbs all of the past promises made to Israel. Be careful about accepting anyone’s word about Christian Zionism do first read the Bible, New Testament for yourself and know the truth rather. http://witnessed.wordpress.com/2008/07/29/the-2-promised-returns/
.
In April 2013, the Church of Scotland published a report entitled “The Inheritance of Abraham: A Report on the Promised Land,” which included a discussion of Israeli and Jewish claims to the Land of Israel. The report said “there has been a widespread assumption by many Christians as well as many Jewish people that the Bible supports an essentially Jewish state of Israel. This raises an increasing number of difficulties and current Israeli policies regarding the Palestinians have sharpened this questioning,” and that “promises about the Land of Israel were never intended to be taken literally.” The church responded to criticism by saying that “The Church has never and is not now denying Israel’s right to exist; on the contrary, it is questioning the policies that continue to keep peace a dream in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. This report is against the injustices leveled against the Palestinian people and how land is shared. It is also a reflection of the use or misuse of scripture to claim divine right to land by any group. The Church of Scotland denies the Jewish right to the Biblical land of Israel and which urges British and European pressure upon Israel over Jewish residence in Judea and Samaria.
 .
THERE   IS NO NEW TESTAMENT REFERENCE, THAT SUBSTANTIATED THE 3RD JEWISH RETURN TO THE HOLY LAND, THE PROMISE LAND. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/12/09/what-the-bible-says-about-israel-and-the-church http://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2009/08/01/israels-past-promised-land/
 .
IT IS EVIDENT THAT MUCH OF ZIONIST FALSE THEOLOGY IS BASED ON ISOLATED VERSES OF SCRIPTURES SPECIFICALLY NEGLECTING ALL THE VERSES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
.
.
You can try to apply any Old Testament verse to Israel as you want too but it is not necessarily valid, applicable true anymore.. Because of their OWN CLEAR rejection of Jesus Christ even today as their savior, and as their Lord Messiah all of the Jews had since the time of Jesus Christ stopped being God’s chosen people, their Jerusalem temple was destroyed permanently, and next no new God Ordained temple will be even be rebuilt with God’s approval anymore even because Jesus Christ himself is the new temple of God. Do note again that because of their OWN CLEAR rejection of Jesus Christ even today as their savior, and as their Lord Messiah all of the Jews had since the time of Jesus Christ stopped being God’s chosen people, their Jerusalem temple was destroyed permanently, and next no new God Ordained temple will be even be rebuilt with God’s approval anymore even because Jesus Christ himself is the new temple of God.
 .
We a Christian Church believe in the End of Days, Second Coming of Jesus as ruling Messiah, resurrections of the dead, and the Millennium. We a Christian Church do NOT believe that a third temple must be built in Jerusalem ( Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Not Required. ).  GOD HAD DESTROYED THE JERUSALEM TEMPLE AS JESUS HAD STATED AND IT WOULD NEVER BE REBUILT BECAUSE HE JESUS CHRIST NOW WAS THE TEMPLE http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/jewishtemple.htm/

 .
Now what right can Israel today use to claim again their God promised land when they have as in time pasts also openly, undeniably rejected God, even Jesus Christ as their their God, Messiah, King, Savior, Healer, Lord, and the same Jesus who clearly predicted the expulsion of the Jews from Israel under the Romans next did not spell out the date of their return
 .
The author of Hebrews says that Abraham hoped for a “heavenly” country  and not an earthly  one.
 .
Hebrews 11:15-20 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. http://tcc.customer.sentex.ca/JLP/JLPs.php
.
Abraham was not a Jew, neither was Noah, Jared, Methuselah, Enos, Enoch, Adam, Eve, Seth, Arphaxad, etc etc etc. No temple, no temple laws, no Hebrews, no Hebrew laws. In written record, most of the laws came into being at the time of Moses. Who now are Abrahams’s seed? Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
.
And as for the Jews? So, at what point do they become “Hebrew” or Jewish… you mean when did they start to follow the Judaism religion.. under Moses.. Jews, Judaism is a religion today and not a blood line since after 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the temple… records in Jerusalem.. no one can prove anymore he is a Jew by his blood line.. only by choice.. Judaism itself is dead to God after they had killed their Messiah Jesus Christ..
.
Thus says the Lord God of Israel: You shed blood, yet you would keep possession on the land? You rely on your sword, you do abominable things… yet you would keep possession of the land?… I will make the land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end. (Ezekiel 33:25-29) On the basis of such sober warnings is it not more likely that Israel will experience an imminent exile rather than restoration? The tension between Christians who call for the implementation of international law and Zionists is no where more clearly polarized than on the issue of the status of Jerusalem.
 .
The reality is that because of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross the New Covenant next replaces the Mosaic Covenant, which is commonly referred to as the “Old Covenant”. All of the The early Christian theologians saw the New Covenant in Christ as a replacement for the Mosaic Covenant for most of the last hundreds of years. The New Israel includes the Jews and the Christian Church as one body. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2011/10/03/dispensationalists-plymouth-brethren/
 .
VALID PERSONS GOING TO HEAVEN CHRISTIANS DO BASE ALL OF THEIR VALID BIBLICAL DOCTRINES SOLELY ON THE NEW TESTAMENT SUBSTANTIATION BY JESUS OR THE APOSTLES, NOT JUST ON THE OLD TESTAMENT REFERENCES .
 .
Now also all the promises of God now still only belong to the Christians only as they solely now are true Israel.. When Christ had Jesus shouted, “It is finished!” the Old Jewish Covenant with God had ended and AND A COVENANT was made effective, even clearly in the Jerusalem Temple where the curtain, veil in the Temple was torn
..
Mk 15: 37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
.
Lk 23: 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. 44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. 46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
.
Sadly even today they the Jews like Cain are trying to reestablish their own false, INAPPLICABLE, even the old Judaism, religion now….
.
(Heb 11:4 KJV) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
 .
(1 John 3:12 KJV) Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
 .
(Jude 1:11 KJV) Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core..
 .
In contrast to what some so-called Messianic Jews are teaching, our English translation of the New Testament did NOT come from the Hebrew or the Latin! The New Testament was translated directly from the Greek and the Old Testament directly from the Hebrew and Aramaic. Hence, our English NT translation is not a twice-removed translation of the name or anything else. The same source went on and wrote about what they call the evolution of the name of Jesus from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English. Sometimes rubbish, like that statement, is found on the web, so beware dear reader. It seems that these present-day Yeshua people are similar to Paul before he became a Christian, who stated that at that time I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth (Acts 26:9).
.
Messianic Jews generally prefer to use Hebrew terms for Jesus, etc. And while those terms of themselves are normally fine, since the New Testament was mainly (or entirely) written in Greek, and the name Jesus is transliterated from Greek characters to be Iesous (believed to be pronounced ee-ay-sooce),  God had not intended that Christians would need to use Hebrew terms such as Ye’shua, as the Messianic Jews falsely  tend to use.
.
Would they please give us a Bible verse from the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures or from the Greek New Testament that tells us Messiah’s name is Yeshua?
.
None have ever done so or ever will since Yeshua is never found in the OT or NT in reference to Messiah. Messiah is never identified by name in the Hebrew Old Testament Scriptures.
.
When they say the God of the Old Testament and the heavenly Father is Yahweh they lie. The truth is Jesus is actually the God of the Old Testament. Jesus is not the Father, but is a separate person from the Father. ,
,
Furthermore God whose Name is Yahweh in Hebrew who became flesh and made Himself known TODAY by His Greek Name which is Jesus AND is solely used and applicable, the Greek Name even meaning Christos, the anointed one who anoints one with the Holy Spirit and not any of the Hebrew names.. No Jews personal praise of God is now even accepted by God especially in their even their unredeemed and sinful state, sins now. Their praise do not reach God as their uncovered sins suffocate them. Nor does God approve of the Jews as even having have any further rights to the promised land anymore as well..
.
The eternal record reveals the following about the name of Jesus. Ponder these Scriptures carefully please:
.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins (Mat 1:21).Do not stop him, Jesus said. No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me (Mark 9:39).You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus (Luke 1:31).

On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived (Luke 2:21).

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name (John 20:31).

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk” (Acts 3:6).

By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see (Acts 3:16).

Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed (Acts 4:10).

Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus (Acts 4:18).

Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus (Acts 4:30).

His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go (Acts 5:40).

But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women (Acts 8:12).

Because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 8:16).

But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus (Acts 9:27).

So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days (Acts 10:48).

Men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 15:26).

She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her (Acts 16:18).

On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 19:5).

When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor (Acts 19:17).

Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 21:13).

To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ – their Lord and ours: (1 Cor 1:2).

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought (1 Cor 1:10).

When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present (1 Cor 5:4).

And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God (1 Cor 6:11).

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 5:20).

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (Phil 2:10).

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (Col 3:17).

We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Th 1:12).

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us (2 Th 3:6).

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess his name (Heb 13:15).

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us (1 John 3:23).
.
To the millions of people that have been saved, healed and delivered from sin, sickness and demons because of the precious name of Jesus these aforementioned types of attacks on the Savior’s name are most disturbing.

.
Jews that did repent and place their faith in Jesus were no better than the Gentiles that did the same:

.

This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus (Eph. 3:6).

.

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit (Gal. 3:14).

.

As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Rom. 10:11-13).

.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Gal. 3:28, 29).

.

Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all (Col. 3:11).

.

For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink (1 Cor. 12:13).

.
The Jew’s natural birth now means nothing to God regarding who are his children and heirs according to the promise. Jews will still go to hell unless they receive heart circumcision by turning to Jesus, the Lord and Savior.
.

At the very beginning of the New Testament the false concept that the sin-embracing Jews were special in God’s eyes, because they were descendants of Abraham, was fiercely opposed. John the Baptist was first to combat this faulty and deadly concept:

.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matt. 3:7-10).

.

For you, brothers, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the same things those churches suffered from the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to all men in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last (1 Thess. 2:14-16).

.

We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen (Acts 10:39,40).

.

It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. When he saw that this pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Acts 12:1-3).

.

The unbelieving Jews during the early Christian church were God-hating, Christ-rejecting, Christian-persecuting enemies of the gospel as they still are today

.

Peter was also a Jew that lived like a Gentile and not like a Jew: When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?” (Gal 2:14)

.

Despite certain similarities, there are major differences in the beliefs and practices of the Messianic Jews and the Church has a completely different view of God’s plan that does not have the focus on various Jewish regulations that the Messianic Jews have.
 .
We a Christian Church believe that God’s plan will result in all needing the acceptance of  salvation through Jesus Christ and that we need to be diligent to preach Christ’s gospel of the kingdom to the world as a witness to all nations (Matthew 24:14).  To the Jews, Messianic ones included,
 .
Messianic Jews  truly do not contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3).
 .
The people magnifying and practicing the Law of Moses are claiming to reestablish the early church, but the truth is they are dangerously deceived and deceiving others by their teachings . The Sacred Name, Yeshua, Messianic Jew and Hebraic Root Movement are not only lacking, but often spiritually wrong and dangerous. To be more precise, their emphasis on Old Testament practices has been detrimental to true Christians to the degree that certainly some have lost their salvation by trying to be justified by the law of Moses (Gal. 5:2-4). This same type of problem existed in first-century Christianity and is now present again with us.

MANY JEWS, EVEN MESSIANIC JEWS LIE ABOUT CHRISTIANITY

https://jesussayscome.wordpress.com/2014/11/18/many-jews-even-messianic-jews-lie-about-christianity/

The old Testament is not the same as the New
.
HISTORICALLY THE JEWS HAVE ALWAYS DEPARTED FROM GOD..
.
they are not all angels even IF they make preposterous claims
.
They clearly are not what they pretend to be..
.
So what about the ten commandments?
.
teaching for doctrines the commandments of men
the New Covenant is not merely a continuation of the old TESTAMENT
.
The new Heavenly Jerusalem
.
Real Christians are not being inconsistent with their beliefs
.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

A true or false prophet?

john-the-baptist-bearing-witness-

28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:28)

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it” (II Corinthians 11:3-4).

9… holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict (Titus 1:9).

37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant. 39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy…(1 Corinthians 14:37-39)

1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. (James 3:1-2)

13 Better a poor and wise youth Than an old and foolish king who will be admonished no more. (Ecclesiastes 4:13)

Amos 3:7: “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth His secret unto his servants the prophets.”

14 Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah: “I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheep breeder And a tender of sycamore fruit. 15 Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’ (Amos 7:14-15)

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue
He will speak to this people,
12 To whom He said, “This is the rest with which
You may cause the weary to rest,”
And, “This is the refreshing”;
Yet they would not hear. (Isaiah 28:11-12)

7 As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? 8 But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. 9 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. 10 For this is he of whom it is written:

“Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’

11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. 13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. 15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

16 “But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions, 17 and saying:

‘We played the flute for you,
And you did not dance;
We mourned to you,
And you did not lament.’

18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.” (Matthew 11:7-19)

The Hebrew word for prophet, navi, means “one who announces or brings a message from God.” The word “prophet” in the English language means essentially the same thing — “one who speaks by divine inspiration as the interpreter or spokesman of God,” whether it be a message of duty and warning, or a prediction of future events.

A prophet is one who speaks for God; hence, the prefix pro (from the Greek language — from which our word prophet is derived) which means “for” and “before.”…

Normally one becomes more formally recognized as a prophet from the laying on of hands by one or more who has been properly ordained into Christ’s ministry who have been inspired by God (2 Timothy 1:6; Hebrews 6:2).

This is also consistent with the following:

14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. (1 Timothy 4:14, NKJV)

14 Do not be careless about the gifts with which you are endowed, which were conferred on you through a divine revelation when the hands of the elders were placed upon you. (1 Timothy 4:14, Weymouth)

14 Make use of that grace in you, which was given to you by the word of the prophets, when the rulers of the church put their hands on you. (1 Timothy 4:14, BBE)

6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. (2 Timothy 1:6, NKJV)

According to the Apostle Paul, genuine prophets are chosen by God not  a  committees  and God uses His own ministers to lay hands upon them

Whenever a man is ordained to an office of greater service in God’s Work  such as a prophet his gifts are recognized by the local presbytery and next hands are laid on him.  But  yet They Are Often Not Accepted, Even By Those Who  Should Be, the  leaders and  People . Always the true prophets and ministers of God have stood almost alone and opposed by the overwhelming majority  of persons.. This is not  surprising as most of them  still are not real Christians, followers of God even many professing Christian persons, leaders.

43 “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:43-45)

True prophets teach the truth of the Bible. But the people seem to be  falsely expecting another gospel, of prosperity, peace, earthly blessings, lies, Zionism…

24 “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” (Luke 4:24-27)

46…And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? (John 8:46)

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,

52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? (Acts 7:52)

3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:3-7)

11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)

8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

9 “The hands of Zerubbabel
Have laid the foundation of this temple;
His hands shall also finish it.
Then you will know
That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.
10 For who has despised the day of small things?
For these seven rejoice to see
The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
They are the eyes of the Lord,
Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

11 Then I answered and said to him, “What are these two olive trees — at the right of the lampstand and at its left?” 12 And I further answered and said to him, “What are these two olive branches that drip into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?”

13 Then he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?”

And I said, “No, my lord.”

14 So he said, “These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.” (Zechariah 4:8-14)

20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21)

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. 34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. 40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. (Matthew 10:31-41, KJV)

God also gives special gifts-special powers of His Spirit-to those who are set apart by the laying on of hands.  A true prophet is under God’s authority. A true New Testament prophet has had hands laid upon him/her and received special anointing under God’s inspiration. You can not anoint yourself or choose your calling.

Prophets edify, assist, and encourage,  rebuke as well those  even in the church:

God’s true disciples in this age will be shown “the things to come” by God’s Holy Spirit (John 16:13) — given to them because they believe in, preach and obey God (Acts 5:32). These individuals have a “good understanding” because they keep God’s Commandments to DO them (Psalm 111:10; Rev. 22:7,14). Wherever you can find a “Work of God” that fulfills these conditions — which keeps God’s Commandments — there you will also find God revealing His secrets

1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. (1 Corinthians 14:1-5)

22…prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe. 23 Therefore if the whole church comes together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those who are uninformed or unbelievers, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all. 25 And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you. (1 Corinthians 14:22-25)

29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30 But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. 31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. (1 Corinthians 14:29-33)

19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

Acts 2:15-18 “For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.”

Acts 8:29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”

Acts 9:10-12 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”

Acts 10:1-3 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”

Acts 10:10-20 Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again. Now while Peter wondered within himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate. And they called and asked whether Simon, whose surname was Peter, was lodging there. While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are seeking you. Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.”

Acts 11:27-29 And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea.

Acts 12:8-9 Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

Acts 13:1 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Acts 15:32 Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also, exhorted and strengthened the brethren with many words.

Acts 16:9-10 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

Acts 18:9-10 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

Acts 19:5-7 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Now the men were about twelve in all.

Acts 20:23 “except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.

Acts 21:8-9 On the next day we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.

Rom 12:4-6 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;

1Cor 11:4-5 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.

1Cor 12:7-10 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

1Cor 12:28-29 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?

1Cor 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

1Cor 13:8-9 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

1Cor 14:1,3-6 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy…. But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching?

1Cor 14:22 Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe. Therefore if the whole church comes together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those who are uninformed or unbelievers, will they not say that you are out of your mind? But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all.

1Cor 14:26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

1Cor 14:29-32 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

1Cor 14:37-39 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant. Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

2Cor 12:1-2, 7 It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I [Paul] will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago — whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows — such a one was caught up to the third heaven…. And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.

Gal 1:12 For I [Paul] neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

Eph 2:19-20 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,

Eph 3:3-5 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

1Th 5:19-21 Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.

1Tim 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

1Tim 4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

2Tim 3:1-2, 5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be… lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Who determines who will be a prophet?  Notice what the New Testament teaches:

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? (1 Corinthians 12:28-30)

As the above show, one becomes a prophet SOLELY  by God’s appointing.  And Jesus said: 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:15-16)

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 1Jo 4:1-2

because there are both true prophets and false prophets, we need to “test the spirits”.  The spirit by  whom they are bing motivated  then.. the Holy Spirit or the devil? False prophets also lie, distort the meaning of Bible verses, state their own views.

The Bible shows that God can  works with prophets through a dream:

6 “Hear now My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream. (Numbers 12:6)

8 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. (Joel 2:28-29)

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them,

“Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.  (Acts 2:14-18)

Most dreams are not from God, even if most people think that they are.  Dreams from God are subsequently explained, confirmed by God in more detail too.

True Prophets do refute  Sabbath keepers Judiazers, Sabbatrians and the Church of God splinter groups, the Seventh-day Adventists, Mormons as well.  see

16 ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ (Matthew 18:16)

24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment. (John 7:24)

Now if you consider yourself a true Christian, be like the Bereans and search “the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so” (Acts 17:11). Do not rely on improper traditions or opinions of men that are not truly based upon what the Bible actually teaches. Do not pre decide that God must do things in accordance with personal preferences as opposed to what His Word really teaches. All people need to consider what God’s standards for a prophet are in the New Testament and not discount them based upon their preferences or traditions.
