As to who is Jesus Christ

The most important decision, question that you will make in your whole life is who is Jesus Christ in fact?  the central, and too often even most misunderstood Person of human history. Who is Jesus Christ? The Bible is about Jesus. He is pictured or prophesied about in each of the 66 books as well as in countless types in the lives of different characters in the Bible.  The Whole Bible is About Jesus! Jesus is in every book of the Bible.

Jesus was, is still is one of the most influential person  that has walked the earth, He  lived during the height of the Roman Empire, at the beginning of our common era. Jesus began his travels by healing and feeding the populace, giving evidence of his  wondrous miracles, teaching about this Heavenly  kingdom of the truth, light, faith and love, a judgment era, and the aggregating of his chosen, the whole  Church of Jesus Christ. During the infancy of the Roman Empire and the end of the Republic, Tiberius was the Emperor during the three in and a half-year ministry of Jesus. The glorious temple of Herod the Great stood atop the mount in Jerusalem. The religion of Judaism then had flourished under the Scribes and Pharisees under Roman supervision. All the Jews and Romans of this era died,  but Jesus lived on. Why?

Firstly Jesus was not another  man child  born into this world who became God next. Jesus was God himself come to earth in the flesh. Jesus was the anointed one. Jesus is the Messiah and  the transliteration of the Old Testament Hebrew word pronounced maw-shakh, meaning Anointed One, which when translated into the New Testament Greek is Christos.

Acts 10:38 KJV How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.   1 John 3:8  For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.   Hebrews 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  Matthew 11:28-30   Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.  Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. (Jer 29:19 KJV)  Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 43:12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the LORD, “that I am God.”

The anointing that the devil and his false followers do still wrongfully hate and oppose, lie about is this..  (Mark 16:17 KJV) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Acts 1:8 KJV)  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Who did Jesus claim to be as per the Bible?

“When Moses met God in the wilderness and asked His name, God replied ‘I AM THAT I AM…This you shall to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.’ So the God of Israel revealed Himself as ‘I AM’. Jesus claimed this name for himself showing He was Israel’s God and Messiah, and in doing so, risked being stoned for blasphemy.

John 8:56-58 ‘Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” “You are not yet fifty years old,” the Jews said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!” “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I AM!” At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself.
John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:23-24 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I AM, you will indeed die in your sins.”

John 11:25-27 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”

John 14:6-7 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well.

John 10:24-33 The Jews gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

There are so many more passages like these, but even limiting ourselves to the above quotes, any honest reader can see exactly what Jesus was claiming about himself. Like C.S Lewis wrote in the quote above, He was claiming to be the promised Messiah, God in the flesh. And He also claimed to be the only way of salvation. At this point, you may be saying ‘I can see that He claimed to be God, but how do we know that the Bible record of His claims are accurate?’ One of the most compelling proofs that God gives us is in the fulfillment of prophecy. No other religious books such as the Koran contain detailed prophecies. The God of the Bible declares:

Isaiah 46:9-10 ‘I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand and I will do all that I please.’

Jesus Claimed To Fulfill The Old Testament Prophecies

Luke 24:44-47 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you-that everything written about me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
John 5:45-46 But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”

Mark 14:61-63 Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. “You have heard the blasphemy. (Ed Note: the Son of Man sitting at the right hand and coming on the clouds was a key specific prophecy about the Messiah from the Old Testament book of Daniel.)

So Jesus claimed to be the Messiah that had been prophesied to come in numerous passages in the Old Testament. What I would like to concentrate on now, is one chapter in the Old Testament that specifically tells us about the life and even death of the Messiah. This chapter is Isaiah 53. The entire scroll of the prophet Isaiah was found within the dead sea scrolls and if has been verified to be completely accurate with the version in our Bibles today. So you be the judge, for with the discovery we know for a fact that the following chapter was written hundreds of years before Jesus was even born.

Isaiah 53 – The Life And Death Of Messiah Prophesied

The following chapter was written around 700BC. From the earliest days Isaiah 53 was interpreted by the Jews as applying to the Messiah. However, with it’s clear fulfillment in the person of Jesus Christ, many Jewish synagogues have carefully avoided reading this passage! But in this most amazing passage, God has given us not only the details of the life and death of the Messiah, but also the reasons and results from His death! Here are the 12 verses of Isaiah chapter 53 (in blue), followed by my own comments (in black italic).
1. Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
Indicates that few would believe in Jesus. (John 6:66, 12:37-38)

2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
Jesus had humble and poor beginnings, not coming as a royal King, but as a commoner. (Luke 2:7)

3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Jesus was despised, rejected, and suffered at the hands of His own people! (Mathew 27:21-23)

4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
Even though Jesus would heal many, and take the sorrows for others, yet the Jewish people would consider Him cursed by God for it is written in Deuteronomy 21:23 ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree’ (Luke 19:41-42)

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Though Jesus was cursed, it was for a reason! He was crushed for our sins so that we could be healed and have peace with God! Note also that this prophecy says that the Messiah would be ‘pierced’. The Jewish method of execution is stoning, though God spoke through the prophet Isaiah and said He would be ‘pierced’ because He knew that Jesus would be crucified, having His hands and feet nailed (pierced) to the cross!

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
It would be God the Father’s will that all sin would be laid upon Jesus! (Gal 1:4)

7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
This verse shows how Jesus, the sacrificial lamb, would be silent before His accusers. This happened as recorded in Mathew 27:12.

8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.
Jesus was judged and died without having any physical descendants. (Mathew 27:35)

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
Jesus died alongside common criminals but was given a rich man’s tomb in which He was buried! (Mathew 27:57)

10 Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
Even though verse 8 says that Jesus was cut off and had no descendants (physically) yet this verse says that after being made a guilt offering (crucified), Jesus would ‘see his offspring and prolong his days’! Amazing prophecy showing that even though Jesus would be killed, He would rise from the dead, live again and that spiritually He would have many offspring! (Mark 16:16)

11 After the suffering of his soul, He will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
God the Father saw the suffering of Jesus and was fully satisfied. Sin demanded a sacrificial death and in doing so, Jesus opened the way so that through knowledge of what happened on the cross, humankind could again be justified! (seen as perfect and spotless in God’s sight.) (Romans 5:8-9, 2 Cor 5:21)

12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Jesus is now exalted by the Father, for He bore our sins, dying on a cross, and even when He was dying He interceded for those who crucified Him saying ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they do!’ Amazing! (Luke 23:32-34)

With all this in mind, can there actually be any doubt as to who Jesus was? We have seen that He didn’t just claim to be a teacher, or a spiritual leader. He claimed to be the one and only Messiah, God in the flesh! His birth, life, and death all accurately and specifically fulfills prophecies recorded hundreds of years earlier. So God has not left us without a means of knowing who the Messiah is! But you have to decide – for Jesus is either a lunatic, a great liar, or He is the Lord to whom we all have to bow. With all this in mind, lets quickly see what the Bible says about salvation and coming into a relationship with Jesus Christ – the King of Kings!

What The Bible Says About Salvation

1. That salvation is found in Jesus and Him alone. We have already stated His claim that no one can come to the Father except through Him. The Bible constantly confirms this by saying:

Acts 4:12 ‘And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.’
1 John 5:11-12 ‘And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.’

2. That salvation cannot come by performing good works but through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for your behalf.

Eph 2:8 ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;  not as a result of works, that no one should boast.’
Romans 3:20 ‘…by the works of the Law no one will be justified in His sight.’

3. God now offers salvation as a gift to those who will believe.

Romans 3:21-24 ‘But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known… This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified as a gift by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 6:23 ‘For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’

4. You need to act to receive the gift of salvation.

John 1:11-12 ‘He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.’
Acts 2:38 ‘Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'”

The God head Trinity

You can also now compare the God head Trinity to a book. For example, a book has length, width, and thickness. The length is not the book’s width, the width is not the book’s thickness. These three dimensions can be described separately, yet they are connected together. If you remove one dimension, you are no longer describing a book. In the same way, the Godhead has three separate members that are connected together, and if you try to remove one you no longer have the Godhead. The Trinity is also like water that can exists as liquid, solid- ice, gas-vapor.

The Bible on the Trinity
Most people are ignorant of the Bible itself, and they listen to liars, persons with hidden agendas too often..

Mic. 5:2 The messiah (Jesus) had always been in existence.

Isa. 44:6; Rev. 1:2,8, 11,13 God claimed to be the “First and the Last.” So did Jesus. God clearly states that He is the only savior. The Bible also says Jesus is our savior.

Other persons  had viewed Jesus as God

1 Timothy 3:16    -Paul Said Jesus was God manifested in the flesh.  “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the nations, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
John 20:28    -Thomas called Jesus God.    “And Thomas answered, and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”

Rom. 14:10b -12    -Paul uses the words Jesus and God interchangeably.  “For we shall all stand before the judgment Seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So, then, “every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

Luke 8:39    -After Jesus healed a demon possessed man, Jesus said:    “Return to thine house, and show what great things God hath done unto thee. And he went on his way and published throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done unto him.”

John 5:18   -The Jews felt Jesus was making himself equal with God.
“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.”

Jesus claimed to be God
John 10:30   – Jesus said He was part of God.  He said,  “I and my Father are one.” Exodus 3:14   -God identifies Himself to Moses by calling himself “I AM.” Twice Jesus refers to Himself as the “I AM.” Those around him knew exactly what he was saying and they were greatly offended.
“Jesus said unto them, Verily verily, I say you, before Abraham was, I am. Then they took up stones to cast at him .”  (John 8:58, 59a)
“Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them I am he. As soon as he said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.”  (John 18:4b, 5, 6)
[Note: In the Bible, the word “he” is in italic. Whenever a word was not in the original Greek or Hebrew, but was put in for clarity, the King James translators put the word in italic. This was done so there would be no misunderstanding about what was and was not part of the original text]
Revelation 1:8 -18   -Jesus said, he is the Almighty Lord. The following is a vision John had of Jesus. Verses 2, 13, 17,18 identify Jesus as the:
(v 2) “. testimony of Jesus Christ .”
(v 8) “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
(v 11) “Saying I am alpha and Omega, the first and the last.”

(v 17b. 18a) “Fear not; I am the first and the last; I am he that liveth and was dead.”
Isaiah 44:6   -In Rev 1:11, Jesus says He is the first and the last.  Isa. 44:6 shows that the one who is “first and the last is actually God.  “Thus saith the Lord, the King of Israel, and his redeemer, the Lord of host: I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me there is not God.”

-God uses the first person (“me”) and the third person (“him”) to describe Himself as the one who will be pierced.
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplications; and they shall look upon ME whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for HIM, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
John 1:1    -Jesus (the “Word”) is God  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Revelation 22:6, 16   -The book of Revelation says that Jesus and God are the same.
(v6) “And he said unto me, These words are faithful and true; and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.”
(v 16) “I, Jesus, have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches .”
Every knee will bow to both God and Jesus.  Here are verses talking about every knee bowing to God.
“Look unto me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God and there is none else. . that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear”  (Isaiah 45:22,23b)

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow . and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”  (Philippians 2:10a,11a)
John 5:23    -We have to honor Jesus that same way as God the Father.    “That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father who hath sent him.”
Both God and Jesus are called our “Savior.”   Here are verses calling God our savior. “. I am He, before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord and besides me there is no savior.”  (Isaiah 43:10b, 11)
“. And there is no God else beside me, a just God and Savior; there is none beside me.”  (Isaiah 45:21b)
Here are verses calling Jesus our savior.

“But hath in due time manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God, our Savior;”   (Titus 1:3)
“Not purloining, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.”  (Titus 2:10)
“But after the kindness and love of God, our Savior, toward man appeared.”  (Titus 3:4)

“Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ, our Savior,”  (Titus 3:6)
Both God and Jesus created all things.  Here are verses that say God created all things
“Ah, Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and outstretched arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: . the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name,”  l (Jeremiah 32:17, 18b)
Have we not all one father? Hath not one God created us?”  (Malachi 2:10b)

“And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the Heavens are the worlds of thine hand.”  (Hebrews 1:10)
Here are verses that say Jesus created all things

“All things were made by him (Jesus), and without him was not anything made that was made.”  (John 1:3)

“Who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; For by him all things were created, that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers – all things were created by him and for him. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”  (Col. 1:15, 16)
“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.”  (Hebrews 1:2)
Both God and Jesus raised Jesus from the dead.  Here are verses that say God raised Jesus from the dead.
“And to wait for His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.”  (1 Thes. 1:10)
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”  (Romans 8:11)
Here are verses that say Jesus raised Himself from the dead.
” Jesus answered, and said unto them Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”  (John 2:19)
“Therefore doeth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.”  (John 10:17, 18a)

To be a Christian is based on the greek word anointed, Christos, a person we can see the anointing of the Holy Spirt of Jesus Christ.. do we see yours easily? http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/06/22/as-to-what-is-a-christian/

Beyond the show of a doubt the devil himself firstly really hates any references to the Holy Spirit, the anointed ones, the idea that Christians do have now empowering to overcome the devil too. and the prophets were clearly anointed, and performed miracles, and the same Jesus yesterday, today and forever who lives in us today too, who was anointed and performed miracles he had also said that believers will do even greater things now too. In the reality now after all Samson next lost his anointing.. and so did King Saul lose his anointing .. and David asked God not to take away his anointing too after he had sinned with Bathsheba.. The anointing is sacred, the anointing is the Holy Spirit, and now all believers in Christ have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The same anointing of Holy Ghost power that gave Jesus the power to overcome Satan’s power, temptation!! The Holy Ghost power and anointing can be yours, today!! This is the source of power to overcome Satan everyday of your life if you continue to follow after God, to obey and do his will daily. If you rebel from God do not expect this anointing to be of help to you. You need to willfully continue to walk humbly in the light, in Jesus himself still too. And if you let God do it, he will empower, equip you to do his will, equip you uniquely for service to him like he has done to many others. When Jesus was being tried in Pilate’s court, Peter denied knowing Jesus three times. He didn’t have enough courage to even say that he knew Jesus. let alone be His witness, but after the Holy Ghost fell on the 120 at Pentecost. What a difference!! The first sermon Peter preached, 3000 were converted. You can have this kind of power now in your life. Yes it’s free for the asking humbly to all who already do believe and are baptized in Jesus as both their Savior and Lord. You are free to live the empowered life if you daily choose to do so, or you can next even daily choose to walk merely in your own sinful thing, in the flesh.Perhaps you still do feel you are not worthy to receive this power. Possibly some have told you that this power is not for today. Or you feel overcome by the pressures of life and don’t know how to ask for the power of the Holy Ghost to take over your life. Right now that all you need to do is simply to humbly ask God even again. The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). It is His desire that you receive everything He has for you! Tthe Bible declares it to be so! ” And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the hand-maids in those days will I pour out my spirit” (Joel 2:28-29). It’s still for as many who call upon the name of the Lord!

(Mat 7:7 KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

(Luke 11:10 KJV) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

(Gal 5:22 KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

(Gal 5:25 KJV) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Pass it on. The Lord wants to infuse you with an anointing, by the Holy Spirit, which will propel you through every line of Satan’s defense. This is how you can overcome every situation as you receive “power from on high!” Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself was full of this power as He withstood the onslaught of the devil while fasting in the wilderness. The Bible records that John the Baptist baptized Jesus, the Lord of Glory, in the river Jordan prior to Him praying and fasting 40 days and 40 nights. At the end of this fast Satan came to Him and tempted Him in His spirit, soul and body to sin against God. But Jesus resisted Satan’s offense with the statement, “It is written!” After this, Luke 4: 14 states, And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. If Jesus, walking as a man, needed the power of the Holy Spirit to stand against the assault of the devil, I ask you, “How much more do we need the power of the Holy Spirit?” There’s a Holy Spirit revival coming, and it’s can also be coming even through your words, through your hands and through your life!

Would you like to have God’s Holy Ghost Power in your life? If so please pray this prayer humbly. “Dear Heavenly Father. As per your promises in your word, the Bible do next baptize me with your Holy sprit, power. I accept the promise of Acts 2: 38 & 39 and the anointing power of the Holy Ghost. I ask to have the power that Apostles had received even in my life. I also do want the power to overcome Satan everyday, in all areas of life! Jesus you are my lord so by your Holy Spirit, please fill me now and take full control of my life, my body and even my tongue. Let my tongue now also give praises to God the Father and His Holy Son, Jesus in a Heavenly language. I put myself, my all under your full control. Amen!”

We should never take for granted, that we are filled with Gods Holy Spirit. Each and every day, would it not also be a good idea to ask the Lord, ” Lord please fill me a fresh with your Holy Spirit, anoint my head again a fresh with the Holy Spirit, fill my cup and let it over flow with the peace, power and joy in the Holy Spirit “. Thank you Jesus.  May the Lord anoint you head with oil, may your cup over flow.”   http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/11/09/the-consistent-ongoing-symbols-of-the-holy-spirit-in-the-bible/

and the issue is not just how to be filled with the Holy Spirit but how to stay filled with the Holy Spirit

Get baptized in the Holy Spirit as the Lord has commanded. Jesus was as human as we are, and it was only after he was water-baptized by John the Baptist, and the Holy Spirit entered him from Heaven, and God said “This is my son in whom I am well pleased” that Jesus’ ministry began. Before that, He wasn’t yet enabled to do great miracles.  So if Jesus couldn’t do it before He was baptized in the Spirit, how can you or I? No amount of waving a crucifix or using a Bible to block devils can stop the work of Satan. Only being FILLED with the Spirit, when the demons can see the Spirit of God living in you and they panic, and only by casting them out in the mighty name of Jesus, can you go forth and do what Jesus has commanded. http://firefromheaven.blogspot.com/2005/07/church-praying-in-tongues.html

Come, Lord Jesus, and fill these people full of the Holy Spirit.  In 1 Corinthians 12 Paul lists out these gifts. Any Spirit-filled Christian can eventually manifest or release any of His gifts as the Holy Spirit directs him  http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/05/03/the-holy-spirit/  http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/05/03/the-holy-spirit-continued/

As per the other real question as to whether apostles, prophets, pastor teachers exists today as in the Time of Jesus Christ first needs to be superseded by the question as to whether all true Christians are now also anointed by the Holy Spirit, Anointed, Greek word , Christos meaning one who shows evidence of the holy Spirit.. and the answer is yes. all true Christians are evidentiary now also anointed by the Holy Spirit, and if the other people cannot see this you certainly are not a true Christian.
