The grace of God

grace

 “Grace”,  the doctrine of the grace of Gods the most important concept in the Bible, Christianity, and the world. It is most clearly expressed in the promises of God revealed in Scripture and embodied in Jesus Christ. it is  very center and core of the  Bible. Grace is  the unmerited favor of God towards us . Grace is getting what you don’t deserve, and not getting what you do deserve. Grace is not being proud, self sufficient but rather having a humble opinion  of one self.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. … For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ  John 1:14, 17 

Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are  Acts 15:11

Romans 6:14 – For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 11:6 – And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if [it be] of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

James 4:6 – But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Hebrews 4:16 – Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

John 1:16 – And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Romans 3:20-24 – Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.  

Titus 2:11-14 – For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,    

Romans 3:24 – Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them  Ephesians 2:1-10 

He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fulness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things upon the earth. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ should be to the praise of His glory  Ephesians 1:5-12 

But Thou art a God of forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness;    Nehemiah 9:17 

And when he wanted to go across to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he helped greatly those who had believed through grace (Acts 18:27).

… which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth (Colossians 1:6).

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.  2 Peter 3:18 

Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need Hebrews 4:16

“God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble” James 4:6; cf. 1 Peter 5:5

Faith is necessary to please God. Hebrews 11:6  , “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” 

Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus,I the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,  scorning its shame,  and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
We respond to His grace by faith and appropriate what has already been accomplished.

Faith is defined as being a positive response to what God has already provided by grace. Faith appropriates what God has already provided. God’s grace has provided not only for salvation but also for every need of your life. Jesus has saved, healed, delivered, or prospered many a person in the last 2,000 years. Jesus said that not everybody will be saved (Matt. 7:13), yet Scripture says it is the will of God that none should perish (2 Pet. 3:9). God has provided salvation, healing, financial provision, and everything else we need, but if we don’t respond in faith to what has been provided by grace, we won’t receive. God’s will is for everyone to be healed. Acts 10:38 says that Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, and it calls what He did “good.” And 1 Peter 2:24 tells us that we were healed by His stripes, yet most of us still do not receive His healing into our lives.

Faith in God is  a choice. Our faith in God is the very thing that holds us steady and keeps us safe from the terrifying storms of life. It’s the intrinsic base of our reliance and confidence in God. Faith is central to Christianity, and faith is a relationship term. We must have faith in Jesus Christ. This means that we believe that he is all he says he is, and he will do what he has promised. It means that we trust him. It is Christ in us who makes all things possible, even our deliverance from death. When we realize that God has all power to do anything he wants, and that he always uses it for the good of humanity, then we can have absolute confidence that we are in good hands. He has both the ability and the purpose of working all things (including even our rebellion, hatred and betrayal against him and one another) toward our salvation. He is completely trustworthy—worthy of our trust. When we are in the midst of trials, sickness, suffering and even dying, we can be confident that God is still with us, that he cares for us, that he has everything under control. It may not look like it, and we certainly do not feel in control, but we can be confident that God isn’t caught off guard. He can and does redeem any situation, any misfortune, for our good.  We need never doubt God’s love for us. Grace without your positive response of faith won’t save you, and faith that isn’t a response to God’s grace will bring you into condemnation. But put your faith in what God has already done for you, and you have the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4).

In Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ…. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross…. You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.  Ephesians 2:13-19

Biblical Faith concerns:

  1. Things that are promised for the future,
  2. Things that are present that are invisible.
God loved us even when we were his enemies; he will be faithful in all circumstances.
The resurrection of Jesus shows that God has the power to save us even from death.
When we trust God, we obey him, knowing that his commands are for our good.
No one has perfect faith; we grow in faith through life experiences.
Doubts and questions can lead us to trust Christ even with the unknown.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Luke 18:8  Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Trust in the Lord

Psalms 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

Psalms 7:1 O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

Psalms 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Psalms 11:1 In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.    “Did God actually say . . .?”   Jews, Messianic Jews, Dispensationalists, others rely on the Christians ignorance of the Bible to promote their lies.  If someone is ignorant of God’s Word, then they will reflect that ignorance in their beliefs, their speech, their purpose in life, their motivations and in all sorts of spiritual illnesses. They could join atheists in attempting to live in the world as it is. Ignorance of God and His laws quite often quickly results in sin.   The ancient Israelites. God also accused them of ignorance in Jeremiah 4:22. Israel wasn’t always ignorant as a nation, but as generation after generation strayed farther and farther from God, they forgot about God’s laws. They gave up the knowledge of God and His ways for the world and its supposed privileges. Apostle Paul admits that he had been ignorant in 1 Timothy 1:13. Some of the things he did in this ignorance were awful. He had killed faithful followers of Jesus, persecuted the Church and beaten the people called by the very God he was trying to worship.

Hosea 4:6,  God mourns, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

There are many denominations even within Christianity, all of which claim to have the correct beliefs.Though we have more access to the Bible than any generation before us, most Christians still have never read it all.  Most Christians are ignorant of the bible cause they do not read it even 5 minutes a day. God is  calling us to  understand the Bible,.He is calling us to seek to understand Him and His ways more and more, through reading and studying Scripture, looking into what is the truth.Can a person even properly be called a believer if there is this much ignorance about what the content of that belief is supposed to be? A person is much more likely to compromise if they are ignorant of important information about their faith. Christians, first and foremost, need to learn the foundational truths about their faith. This includes a basic knowledge of the contents of the Bible. The ‘spiritual’ ignorance about faith was not limited to Christians. Christians are rightly concerned about the secular worldview’s rejection of biblical Christianity, we ought to give some urgent attention firstly to our own –biblical illiteracy. Recovery starts at home.

We must get deadly serious about the problem of biblical illiteracy, or face Hell next. Since most people do not truly cry out to God for understanding, and because they do not really study His inspired word! You must not remain ignorant of what the Bible actually says! Your very life truly depends upon it.  Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — which is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.    Knowledge is what you know; it’s what you have in your head. Understanding is the deeper level of seeing how the knowledge fits together and how it can be used. Spiritual understanding means understanding the things of God. Wisdom is the ability to make sound judgments; to take that knowledge and understanding and apply it.Gain Biblical knowledge then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Hosea 4:6 God says through Hosea, “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me.” (Romans 12:1-2)

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. (Phil. 4:8)   Let’s make you the  “ignorant Christian ” a thing of the past.
